Semi-Truck Driver Killed in Crash on Florida’s Turnpike in St. Lucie County

Late on April 1, 2025, a fatal accident occurred on Florida’s Turnpike near Port St. Lucie Boulevard. A 44-year-old Miami man, driving a semi-truck with a tandem trailer, collided with a concrete rail and a Tesla vehicle. The semi-truck driver was pronounced dead at the scene, while the Tesla driver sustained injuries. Over 100 gallons of fuel spilled onto the roadway, necessitating a hazardous materials cleanup.
